Apr 08, 2007 Not because it's difficult to repair an aluminum radiator, just because the shops think they can get more for a repair on aluminum. If the leak is from a stress crack, be sure and mount the new/repaired radiator on rubber. Solidly bolting the rad to the chassis is going to lead to stressing the rad, and transmitting vibrations through the radiator.
