The alloy frame is beautifully finished. As the owner of two Trek mountain bikes, I have to admit that Cannondale does a way better paint job. The bike is fast, and yet very confortable on the road. The ride is not harsh by any means compared to other aluminum bikes that I test rode. For $1500 I am very satisfied with this bike.

I looking to get my first proper road bike, and I recently saw a Cannondale Synapse Disc 105 SE at my local bike shop and have been sitting around during quarantine thinking about it nonstop. I was curious if any of you have experience with this bike and have thoughts on it or if there are other bikes at that $1500 price point to check out.
The LBS near me that has the Synapse 105 Disc in stock only has it in Champagne however, and while it is a very unique and attractive color, i dont know how I feel about looking at it all the time. Nonetheless, it has the 105 groupset, mechanical brakes, and already has pretty decent wheels and tires (30c).
