A copper alloy that typically contains between 4.0 and 5.0 % copper, and it is suitable for producing machine parts, bolts and rivets. It looks very much like an EN AW-2007, but it is a bit softer.
This is a free-machining alloy and both carbide or high-speed tool steel tooling may be used. Carbide tooling is preferred. Rake angles should be 50 degrees for top rake, 32 degree cutting edge, 15 degree side rake and 10 degree clearance.
